Clients rely on Ms. Burnett to work closely with them to
develop a design direction that enhances their lifestyle. Her goal is to
demystify the Interior Design process and bring focus to the often-confusing
process of home decorating. She avoids "industry" jargon as
she customizes design plans and communicates them in clear English.
To meet the separate goals and challenges of each
project, Teresa delivers an original finished design unencumbered by a "signature" or "cookie-cutter" look.
Whether completely furnishing a bedroom or large family room, selecting
color, tailoring a productive home office or designing a whole-house lighting
plan, Teresa maintains focus on the client’s personal style or preferences.
Ms. Burnett’s Interior Design practice includes all aspects of Interior
Design. She has guided numerous clients to find the confidence to add color
to their lives. When a couple’s style opinions clash, she helps them
to compromise and find solutions. Her understanding and appreciation of
scale and dimension converts an unfinished and unwelcoming room into an
attractive and inviting living space.
Ms. Burnett has published articles outlining the
elements of Interior Design and has been profiled in numerous publications.
Teresa’s lecture
series: Elements of Interior Design, highlight issues of color, lighting
and design "mistakes." Her work is included in the book "Color
in a Small Space," published by McGraw Hill.
