Color Consultation

Color is the simplest and least expensive way to add style and drama to a space. It can influence the character and personality of the room. It defines the space and impacts the mood of the room. It energizes or calms.

The process of selecting color is often seen as the first step in designing a space. It takes time and effort to get it right. Since the wall (and ceiling) colors are typically the backdrop for your overall design, it’s important to avoid a misstep.

The feeling of height, linearity and size can be impacted by the color treatment of trim, windows, fireplace & doors. The proper application techniques can completely alter the appearance and perception of the space, while hiding flaws and imperfections.

We use large-scale paint chips in a creative non-intimidating approach to color selection. The impact of natural and artificial lighting will be considered when determining how color will be “read” in the actual space.

During an in-home Color Consultation we will explore the possible inspirations for choosing color. All aspects of the project are examined in depth including transitions to adjacent spaces. WILLOW DESIGNS, INC will dispel many of the myths concerning the “rules” of painting a space.
